DINING Coral Sea Resort has two of Airlie beach’s best restaurant and is winner of the Whitsunday Salon Culinaire competition. The Clipper Restaurant and Bar features fresh seafood and a surprising Australian fusion menu. The unique Jetty Restaurant is available for small conference and wedding groups, and as its name implies, is set on the Resort’s own jetty. This small, intimate restaurant, which seats only 30 guests, is clearly Airlie’s most romantic couples’ restaurant and a highlight of any visit to the Whitsundays. GETTING THERE Air Connections Regular flights are available from all Australian capital cities to Proserpine (PPP), Hamilton Island (HTI) and Mackay (MKY) with Qantas (QF). Virgin Blue (DJ) have flights into Proserpine and Mackay. Whitsunday All Over operates the connecting launch transfers between Hamilton Island and Shute Harbour every day.
